As you can see, I'm prior military, a police officer, and a amateur radio operator! Ok, that's it you can go home now! Ok, don't go.
This site is broken up into four different sections: Ham Radio, Military, Law Enforcement and Sports History. Use the menu above to access each section. There are several good links for each. If you want to email me, please click on this link. A little about me. I've been a ham for 26 years. I hold a Extra Class ticket. My old callsign was KB4ERA and I recently changed to my dad's old sign, which is of course K4DSX. He is W4JIM. I operate on 17, 20, 40, 80, and 2 meters. I also operate on PSK31 and CW on the above bands. My rig is a ICOM-IC718 and my antenna is a all-band dipole, which is about 70-80 feet in the air. I'm a proud member of the South Coast Amateur Radio Service (Member Number 3868) They have several nets during the day on 7.251. To access my special QSL card please click this link. I was in the US Army from 1983-1987 and was stationed in Bad Kreuznach, West Germany and Fort Stewart, Georgia. I was a 72E (Telecommunications) which is no longer in use by the military. I'm also a police training officer with the Greensboro Police Department in NC. In reference to sports, I'm a big UNC fan and I HATE DUKE!! Enuff said. Take a look at my sports page for more info on PUKE.
I'm the founder/curator for the Briles Information Network , a site dedicated to genealogy and the preservation of family history. I will be updating this site with new links for my other hobbies like video production, pin collecting and genealogy. Thanks again for coming!
